Lauren Leydon-Hardy is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Amherst College. Leydon-Hardy’s research program is centered around the norms that govern our social world and how those norms shape our epistemic lives. Leydon-Hardy has recently published work on the ways in which these norms can be abused and eroded in ways that harm us specifically in our capacities as epistemic agents. At this event, Leydon-Hardy presented her paper, “Epistemic Agency and the Deep Self.”
This event was sponsored by the Louise M. Olmsted Fund for Ethics.
